Nashville noise rock four-piece Yammer Jaw’s debut EP Burth is out now! Featuring members of Waxed, Sheep Shifter, and War Brides, the EP has already earned early praise across the board — Decibel’s Adem Tepedelen called it “pure noise rock heaven,” Fecking Bahamas praised “a thunderous joyride through frantic riffs and high-pitched screams,” and Vice’s Stephen Andrew Galiher declared it “noise rock at its finest.” The EP has also landed Best of the Week honors from Post Trash and Vice, plus airplay from KEXP, and BBC 6 Music.
Their sound draws on the tension of Fugazi, the angular chaos of Drive Like Jehu and Faraquet, and the low-end menace of Jesus Lizard and Quicksand. Chris Clark, Ian Sundstrom, and Stephen Small trade vocal duties throughout, with Richie Townsend driving it all on drums.
Burth is out now on vinyl, CD, and cassette.
